Meet your Coach

Jessica Pastro

Practicing Kinesiologist and Strength Coach
Bachelors of Kinesiology, BCAK, SFG

I am passionate about helping individuals reach their strength-training and movement-specific goals but more importantly, I want to empower you to take on any endeavour you choose with strength and confidence.

I received my Bachelor’s in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia in 2017. However, my passion for movement came long before that. Movement training for me began when I was 2 years-old, on the ice rink. I believe that was a pivotal moment where learning and mastering new skills became a part of my life. I have competed in many sports but I dedicated the most time and energy into Ringette, where I represented Team Canada at the Junior National Championships. Competitive team sports taught me about teamwork, strength-training, recovery, mental health, discipline, and importantly, creating a positive environment around fitness.

I have …

  • Years of being an athlete, discovering my physical and mental capacity and where I first learned the importance having a community of support
  • University education where I immersed myself in knowledge surrounding the human body
  • Coaching experience where I continually refine my teaching to support each client to reach their goals

I hope I can support you on your journey to a strong healthy you!

Good movement is rehab, good movement is performance, and good movement leads to happiness.

I can’t wait to welcome you into the community!

When I’m not swinging kettlebells you can find me at the local breweries with my fellow Kinesiologist Briana Kelly (check her out here!). Collectively we share coaching values and goals as well as a love for kettlebells and IPA – cheers!

What do Jess’ Clients Have to Say?

Jessica’s upbeat personality kept my workouts fun and her extensive knowledge got me stronger and kept me safe. Not really knowing what I wanted, she helped me set realistic personal goals and then established  a program to help me meet those goals in a safe manner. – LW
